Katie Storey is a well-known name in the Small Fry Events. Katie shows her sister’s handsome gelding, “Cruzing With Cash” in the Walk-Jog and Small Fry classes at the Area 3 and Ontario circuits. In 2006, Katie and Cruz were the OQHA Reserve Champions in Small Fry Showmanship. Katie’s favourite class is Showmanship and her favourite show is Summerama.

Katie trains under the guidance of Kelly Simpson and her assistant Pat Chamberland. Kelly and Pat have helped Katie and Cruz to become an amazing team – a team unstoppable in the show pen. Katie would like to thank Kelly and Pat for all their help and dedication in allowing her to achieve success in a sport she loves. She would also like to thank her family for being so supportive of her love of horses!

Katie is attending Marchmont Public School in Orillia, where she is currently in Grade 4. When she isn’t riding, Katie enjoys playing football and basketball for the Orillia Lakers rep team (and trust me, Katie is a star!). Katie also enjoys spending time with the Storey family dogs, Jake and Abby.
