YOUTH SPOTLIGHT - ELIZABETH WILLSEY by Amanda Pereira
Elizabeth Willsey shows in 13 and Under classes with her mare Covered In Stars, AKA Slippery. She is 12 years old and is in grade 6 at Couchiching Heights Public School. Her favourite subjects are Mathematics and Art. She is a straight A student. Elizabeth is in the school band, where she plays the clarinet. She is also on the basketball team and enjoys playing soccer.

Slippery and Elizabeth have been showing together for 3 years. Her trainer is Kelly Simpson. Her favourite classes are Horsemanship and Equitation. Her favourite shows are Summerama and Summer Circuit at the Palgrave show grounds. Elizabeth has been riding all winter long as well as working part-time at Mariposa Market.

Elizabeth really appreciates Kelly Simpson and Tara Westcott's help over the years. Without them she would never have started showing AQHA, as they have made Slippery and herself such a wonderful team. She also loves showing with the other girls at the barn, and how she meets so many new people in this organization.
